The deep 70-player field for the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind features elite talent across the FedExCup standings, including recent form leaders and past champions at the Memphis venue. With the opening round still days away, no player holds a clear edge for the second-round lead, as outcomes hinge on early scoring bursts, course-specific ball-striking, and variable pin placements or weather. Strong recent performances by names such as Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Rose contribute to the bunched pricing, while the track's length and rough punish inconsistency. This setup leaves room for mid-pack contenders to surge or frontrunners to post steady under-par totals through 36 holes.
