Fabiano Caruana tops trader consensus at 30.5% for the 2026 FIDE Candidates due to his world No. 2 rating and recent Sinquefield Cup triumph, reinforcing his classical prowess after a strong 2024 Candidates showing. Hikaru Nakamura follows at 19.5%, buoyed by consistent top finishes and speed chess edge translating to stamina in long matches. Rising stars Javokhir Sindarov (16.0%) and Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu (14.0%) gain traction from youth momentum—Sindarov's Olympiad heroics and Pragg's elite clashes—challenging veterans amid qualification paths via FIDE Circuit points. Anish Giri (9.0%) and Wei Yi (7.5%) hold steady on experience, while Esipenko and Bluebaum trail on lower ratings and fewer breakthroughs.
