The influx of recently relegated Ligue 1 sides such as Nantes, Metz, Saint-Étienne, Reims, and Montpellier has created an unusually deep and balanced Ligue 2 field for 2026-27, with established second-tier clubs like Guingamp, Annecy, Dunkerque, and Grenoble alongside promoted sides Dijon and Sochaux. Early matchday results after the August 8 kickoff have produced a spread of winners and no runaway leader, reflecting squad depth, experience advantages, and limited separation in form or resources across the 18-team division. Trader consensus remains tightly grouped as these factors sustain broad uncertainty over which club will top the table at season’s end.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of Ligue 2 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 2 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 2; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
