Recent polling shows a tight contest between Labour’s Andy Burnham and Reform UK’s Robert Kenyon, with both in the low 40s and other parties well behind. Kenyon’s strong second-place finish in the 2024 general election, combined with Reform’s local election gains in the constituency, gives him a clear structural edge for runner-up status even if Burnham edges ahead. Fragmentation on the right, including Restore Britain’s Rebecca Shepherd on single digits, further concentrates the non-Labour vote behind Kenyon. Minor parties and the Conservatives poll in low single digits, leaving little room for surprises before the June 18 vote. Trader consensus at 71 percent for Kenyon reflects these established patterns and limited movement in recent days.
