Toronto Blue Jays head to Angel Stadium for a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels starting April 20, plagued by an injury crisis with over 10 players on the IL—including Jose Berrios (15-day, arm), George Springer (10-day), Anthony Santander (60-day, shoulder), and Bowden Francis (season-ending Tommy John)—fueling their sluggish 7-10 start and fourth-place AL East position. The Angels (9-10, third in AL West) carry momentum from a 7-1 rout of the Yankees on April 14, powered by Mike Trout's third homer in two games, and enjoy home-field advantage with a healthier roster. Probable pitching matchups tilt toward Toronto in opener (Dylan Cease vs. Jack Kochanowicz), but Patrick Corbin and Eric Lauer face stiffer tests later, highlighting bullpen reliance amid rapid injury report updates.
