No. 3 seed New York Knicks enter their Eastern Conference first-round best-of-seven matchup with home-court advantage (2-2-1-1-1 format) against the No. 6 Atlanta Hawks, starting April 18 at Madison Square Garden. Knicks captured two of three regular-season meetings, including a gritty 108-105 road win April 6 amid defensive battles, fueling trader consensus on their edge. Hawks' late-season surge yielded the sixth seed after final-week losses but boasts top-four three-point shooting that tests Knicks' perimeter defense. Official injury reports indicate clean bills post-rest, with Jalen Brunson's playoff scoring and Hawks' road splits as pivotal for series length amid historical tight head-to-heads.
