Anastasia Potapova, the higher-ranked No. 97 and former Linz champion now competing as an Austrian, advanced past her Round of 32 opponent yesterday on the tournament's new indoor clay courts, leveraging her strong clay record of 76-42 career. Facing her is qualifier Tamara Korpatsch (No. 109), riding momentum from an Ostrava final run in February and a three-set upset over No. 6 seed Jaqueline Cristian two days ago—her second Top 50 win of 2026. Korpatsch holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge from their 2019 clay meeting in Lausanne. Both players show solid early-week form with no reported injuries, setting up a competitive Round of 16 where surface familiarity and crowd support could sway trader consensus on this WTA 500 matchup.
