Top seed and defending champion Jessica Pegula has grinded through three consecutive three-setters at the Credit One Charleston Open, including a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 quarterfinal comeback over Diana Shnaider, extending her 8-1 record in deciding sets this year on the green clay she knows well. Fourth seed Iva Jovic, the 18-year-old ranked No. 16 in her breakout 2026 season (15-7 YTD), powered into the semifinals with straight-set wins over Alycia Parks, Sofia Kenin, and Anna Kalinskaya in her Daniel Island debut. No head-to-head exists between the Americans; Pegula's experience and serve improvements (63% points won) face Jovic's aggressive momentum and fresh legs, with weather-stable conditions favoring baseline rallies.
