Top-seeded Jessica Pegula meets seventh seed Diana Shnaider in the Credit One Charleston Open quarterfinals on green clay, where Pegula holds a 2-0 head-to-head edge, including a 2024 US Open fourth-round victory. Pegula rallied past Yulia Putintseva in the round of 16 on April 1 after a shaky start, building momentum despite a lingering knee issue that forced her Austin withdrawal in February. Shnaider, meanwhile, steamrolled Leylah Fernandez 6-3, 6-0 on April 2, riding hot form into the matchup after an opening-round bye. Trader consensus reflects a tight contest, balancing Pegula's experience, home-crowd support, and baseline consistency against Shnaider's aggressive clay-court surge and recent dominance. No late injuries reported; outdoor conditions could favor steady rallying.
