Ignacio Buse holds a significant edge in trader consensus for his Rolex Monte Carlo Masters qualifying matchup against David Goffin, driven by his career-high ATP No. 59 ranking and red-hot clay-court form, including a gritty three-set win over Matteo Berrettini last week at the Marrakech ATP 250. The 22-year-old Peruvian enters 5-3 on clay in 2026 with strong Challenger success (34-15 lifetime), suiting the Monte Carlo surface perfectly. Goffin, ranked No. 156 and fresh off announcing his 2026 retirement amid knee injury woes, limps in on a 0-4 losing streak from recent Challengers. With no head-to-head history, Buse's youth, momentum, and surface affinity shape the closely watched first-round qualifier on Court Rainier III.
