James Duckworth holds a significant edge over Beibit Zhukayev in the San Luis Potosi Challenger quarterfinals on clay, entering ranked No. 95 to Zhukayev's No. 353, with a 4-1 head-to-head advantage including straight-sets victories on hard in Morelia last year and clay here in 2024. Duckworth's consistent Challenger form has propelled him through the draw, while Zhukayev, whose ranking has tumbled from a 171 career high, relies on his 6-foot-6 frame for serving power but struggles against Duckworth's baseline steadiness and return game. No reported injuries or withdrawals alter the matchup, though clay surface favors endurance in the Mexican altitude. Trader consensus reflects Duckworth's experience and stylistic matchup superiority.
