Anhelina Kalinina holds a decided edge entering her WTA 125 Dubrovnik Open semi-final clash with Tamara Zidansek on clay, following a commanding 6-0, 6-3 win over the Slovenian in the Antalya 3 final two weeks ago, where Zidansek appeared hampered by mobility issues. Kalinina, ranked 127 and seeded seventh, has surged with an 18-5 record this year, defeating Polona Hercog 7-6(4), 6-2 in quarters and Nuria Brancaccio 6-0, 6-2 in round of 16 en route to the semis. Zidansek, at No. 130 with a 14-6 mark, rebounded strongly by beating Veronika Erjavec 7-6, 6-3, Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-7, 6-2, 6-1, and Maja Chwalinska 6-3, 6-1. Both clay specialists face no reported injuries, with Kalinina's hot streak and head-to-head advantage shaping trader consensus.
