Anastasia Potapova, now representing Austria after naturalization and a former Linz champion, holds a slight ranking edge at No. 97 over Tamara Korpatsch at No. 109 entering their round-of-16 clash on the tournament's debut indoor clay surface. Potapova advanced comfortably in round one, leveraging home crowd support, while Korpatsch notched her second Top 50 win of 2026 by upsetting No. 6 seed Jaqueline Cristian in three sets after qualifying. Korpatsch leads their head-to-head 1-0 from a 2019 clay-court meeting in Lausanne, bolstering her upset potential amid strong recent form including an Ostrava final run. Trader sentiment reflects Potapova's experience and familiarity despite the surface shift from hard courts.
