Arsenal and Manchester City sit as the clear frontrunners in the 2026-27 Premier League runner-up market at 44.5% and 40.5% implied probability respectively, reflecting trader consensus on their sustained squad depth and recent form after Arsenal claimed the 2025-26 title with City finishing second. Pre-season previews and supercomputer models highlight both sides' strong attacking options and defensive stability, bolstered by summer transfer activity and the presence of World Cup winners in key positions. The narrow gap underscores a highly competitive top end of the table, where Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea trail further back amid ongoing injury concerns and fixture challenges that could reshape positioning once the campaign begins on August 21. Historical patterns of tight title races and home/away splits further support the bunched probabilities among established contenders.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Premier League for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Premier League (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
