Cheryl Fuller holds a clear lead in trader pricing for the Central Coast Council mayoral election due to the absence of declared challengers ahead of the October vote. As incumbent, she confirmed her intention to seek a second term, with local reporting in mid-June highlighting that no other councillors had stepped forward to contest the position and that several were instead focusing on deputy mayor bids. Previous opponent Garry Carpenter, who ran against her in 2022, has indicated uncertainty about another candidacy amid other commitments. Traders appear to view the lack of opposition and Fuller’s established position on the council as the dominant factors supporting her elevated implied probability, while the wide field of other named candidates reflects ongoing uncertainty about potential late entrants from outside the current elected group.
