Damon Heta enters as the clear favorite in this Australian Darts Masters opener, with his PDC world ranking near 20, multiple tournament wins, and consistent three-dart averages around 95 reflecting stronger recent form than Joe Comito. The 44-year-old Comito, a Western Australian qualifier nicknamed the Waterboy, earned attention with a first-round upset at the 2026 World Championship but followed with a quick exit and carries lower career averages near 82 along with far less elite-level experience. Heta’s ProTour consistency and head-to-head edge in high-stakes matches underpin trader consensus around 67 percent implied probability, though Comito’s home-nation support and occasional checkout prowess keep the matchup from being entirely one-sided.
