Tyra Caterina Grant enters the ITF W75 Kosice clay-court semifinal as the higher-ranked player at around No. 219–234, buoyed by recent WTA main-draw appearances in Madrid and Rome plus a straight-sets win over Julia Adams in the prior round. The 18-year-old Italian brings strong recent form and junior Grand Slam pedigree to the matchup on her preferred surface. Martyna Kubka, a 25-year-old Pole ranked near No. 254, arrives on a solid ITF run with consecutive victories in Kosice, including against Miriana Tona, leveraging her experience and consistency on clay. The contest features contrasting styles, with Grant’s aggressive baseline game facing Kubka’s steady returning and tactical play in what remains a competitive encounter with realistic upset potential for the veteran.
