Nastasja Schunk enters the ITF W75 Caserta semifinal on clay with stronger recent momentum after three straight wins in the event, including straight-set victories over Mina Hodzic and Diletta Cherubini. The German holds a slight WTA ranking edge at 434 to Alessandra Mazzola’s 477 and defeated the Italian in their prior clay meeting at the W35 Klagenfurt in May. Mazzola, competing on home soil in Italy, advanced by beating Aurora Zantedeschi and benefits from local crowd support plus familiarity with the conditions. Both players sit in a comparable ranking band with limited tour-level experience, making surface preference, recent match volume, and any last-minute fitness updates the primary variables for this semifinal.
