Julia Stamatova holds a clear edge over Ela Plosnik in the ITF W15 Kursumlijska Banja 3 first-round clay-court matchup, driven by her superior WTA ranking near 839 and greater professional experience at age 32 compared to the 18-year-old Slovenian ranked around 1345. Stamatova has shown recent competitive form on the same Serbian clay surface, advancing through qualifying and reaching later stages in prior W15 events there, while Plosnik brings limited senior-level results and a stronger junior background. The surface favors baseline consistency where the veteran’s head-to-head edge and match toughness typically translate, though the younger player’s athleticism creates realistic upset potential if Stamatova’s movement is restricted. No reported injuries or withdrawals alter the draw.
