Uisung Park faces Shintaro Imai in the round of 32 at the M15 Maanshan ITF event on indoor hard courts in China, marking their first career meeting. The 25-year-old South Korean, currently ranked near 685-712 with a career-high singles mark of 546, enters with stronger recent momentum on the surface after a series of consistent hard-court results. The 32-year-old Japanese veteran, ranked around 783 with a career peak of 290, brings greater experience but has shown more variable form lately. Both players compete regularly at this M15 level, where ranking points and prize money remain limited, and outcomes often hinge on current form, physical freshness after travel in Asia, and adaptation to indoor conditions. No reported injuries or withdrawals affect the draw.
