Yexin Ma holds a significant edge over Ya Yi Yang in the ITF W50 Wuning first-round matchup on hard courts, driven by her WTA ranking of 183 compared to Yang’s position near 594. The 26-year-old Chinese player brings greater experience from recent higher-level events, including appearances in Roland Garros qualifying, while the 22-year-old Taiwanese has competed primarily in lower-tier ITF events. Their head-to-head record stands at 1-1 on hard surfaces from 2023 encounters. Ma’s stronger recent form and depth provide a clear advantage in this early-round setting, though Yang enters after a straight-sets win in the tournament and could capitalize on any inconsistency from her opponent.
