Several Serie A clubs enter the 2026-27 campaign with reinforced or established defensive structures after a 2025-26 season where Como, Roma, Inter, and Juventus posted the strongest records in goals conceded and clean sheets. Inter bolstered its back line with John Stones and Djed Spence while retaining core pieces like Alessandro Bastoni and Manuel Akanji, and Juventus added Jhon Lucumi plus goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario under new manager Luciano Spalletti. Roma, Como, Atalanta, and Napoli similarly feature experienced keepers and organized units capable of shutouts across a long campaign. With no side projected to concede markedly fewer goals than the pack and early-season fixtures offering limited separation, trader pricing reflects a broad consensus that clean-sheet leadership remains wide open among the upper-mid table.
