**St. Louis City SC enters the US Open Cup semifinal at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on September 16 with strong momentum, riding a 14-match unbeaten streak in MLS after a 2-2 draw at Portland where new signing Rafael Navarro scored twice.** The Brazilian striker, acquired from Colorado for a club-record $12 million in early September, adds proven finishing to a side already in good form. Colorado, hosting the single-elimination tie, lost its leading goal threat in the deal and has shown inconsistent results, though home conditions and cup motivation could narrow the gap. Head-to-head results remain close across recent meetings, with both sides capable of scoring. Traders are weighing St. Louis' current edge and roster upgrade against Colorado's home setting and knockout incentive.
