Aurora Gaming faces G2 Esports in the opening best-of-three of BLAST Open Porto Group A, a high-stakes group stage matchup at the Copenhagen studio that feeds into playoffs at the Super Bock Arena. Both squads sit near the middle of the Valve Regional Standings around 12th–13th, with limited recent success compared to top seeds like Spirit or Falcons. G2 enters with momentum after a reverse sweep of Astralis to reach the Esports World Cup quarterfinals, while Aurora suffered a 1-2 defeat to FURIA in the same event after earlier wins over M80 and others. Head-to-head favors Aurora, who defeated G2 2-0 at IEM Cologne in June, though G2’s experience and map pool depth could prove decisive in a BO3. Roster stability, recent map form on key pools like Ancient and Mirage, and the need for early group points will shape outcomes.

In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
