T1 enters the Esports World Cup 2026 League of Legends Group C matchup against GAM Esports as the clear favorite, backed by their status as reigning world champions and consistent LCK contention. The Korean side recently competed at MSI 2026 in play-ins and main stage, featuring core players such as Faker, Oner, Doran, Peyz, and Keria in a high-level international environment. GAM, the perennial VCS powerhouse with multiple regional titles, qualified via the APAC path but has shown limited success against top-tier global competition. The single-game BO1 format in the July 15 group stage heightens variance, where one strong draft or early-game execution could shift outcomes despite T1's depth and experience edge. Roster stability and recent patch familiarity will factor into team preparations.
