Alexander Zverev enters the 2026 US Open final as the clear market favorite at 76.1% implied probability, driven by his French Open title this season, consistent hard-court results, and a 5-0 head-to-head record against Ben Shelton. The German top seed has reached multiple major finals in 2026 and benefits from greater experience in best-of-five matches at this level. Shelton, at 23.8%, has generated momentum through an impressive run that included a five-set quarterfinal victory over Carlos Alcaraz and a semifinal win over Frances Tiafoe, positioning him for a potential first major title and ending a long American drought. However, his lack of prior Grand Slam final experience and straight-sets losses to Zverev in prior meetings limit his market pricing. Casper Ruud sits at just 0.1% after earlier elimination. The final match on September 13 in New York remains the decisive factor.
