Senegal enters AFCON 2027 qualifying Group J as the clear frontrunner on pedigree and squad depth, yet the market reflects a tight contest among Senegal, Mozambique, Sudan, and Ethiopia. The Teranga Lions face a schedule of home-and-away fixtures across three international windows starting September 2026, where recent form, travel demands, and potential upsets by the lower-ranked sides could split points. Mozambique’s improving organization, Sudan’s physical home resilience, and Ethiopia’s growing squad cohesion create realistic scenarios for dropped points, keeping implied probabilities for the group winner closely bunched around the 45–55% range in trader consensus. Official injury reports and early results will likely shift positioning before the March 2027 window concludes.
