Incumbent Democrat Raul Ruiz seeks reelection in California's 25th congressional district, where the June 2, 2026, top-two primary will advance the two highest vote-getters to the November general election regardless of party. Three Republicans—Hemet City Council member Joe Males, Ron Huffman, and Ceci Andrade Truman—compete for the second spot. The district's Democratic lean, shaped by recent redistricting under Proposition 50, and voter priorities around healthcare, cost of living, immigration, and economic policy frame the contest. Filing closed in March, with no major shifts reported since.
