PSG enter the 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign as clear title favorites after five straight titles and a recent Champions League win, leaving the top-four race focused on challengers. Lens, Lille, Monaco, Marseille, Lyon, and Rennes emerge as the primary contenders based on last season’s standings and pre-season models, with Lens and Lille frequently projected highest among them. Summer transfers have reshaped squads, including PSG additions like Ferran Torres and Mika Godts, Lens signings such as Allan Saint-Maximin, Lille’s free-agent acquisitions including Olivier Giroud, and Monaco’s Paul Pogba arrival. Managerial changes, European commitments for several sides, and fixture congestion will test depth and consistency across the 34-match schedule that runs through May 2027.
