Arsenal enter the 2026-27 Premier League campaign as defending champions with strong squad continuity under Mikel Arteta, positioning them as the consensus leader for another top-six finish. Manchester City face a major transition following Pep Guardiola’s departure, with Enzo Maresca installed and key departures including Bernardo Silva, while Liverpool adjust under new boss Andoni Iraola after a disappointing prior campaign. Chelsea benefit from heavy summer spending and Xabi Alonso’s arrival but lack European distractions, and Manchester United aim to build on last season’s third-place finish under Michael Carrick. Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Newcastle also feature in the mix amid widespread managerial changes and an active transfer window that remains open into September, with early-season results and fixture congestion from European ties likely to shape the race for Champions League qualification spots.
