Alexander Zverev secured the 2026 US Open men’s singles title with a four-set victory over Ben Shelton in the final, completing a dominant run that included straight-sets wins in the quarterfinals and semifinals. The top seed capitalized on absences and injuries to rivals such as Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, while demonstrating superior serve consistency, tiebreak execution, and mental resilience across a physically demanding hard-court fortnight. His prior French Open triumph and strong major record this season reinforced trader consensus around his implied probability near 100 percent. Only an unprecedented late withdrawal, weather disruption, or scoring error could have altered the outcome once the final concluded.
