Recent polling for Berlin’s September 20, 2026, state election shows the CDU maintaining a modest but consistent lead over the Greens, with the Christian Democrats typically at 18–20 percent and the Greens at 16–18 percent across INSA, Infratest dimap, and Civey surveys conducted in July and August. This positioning reflects voter priorities on housing shortages and public security, issues where the CDU-SPD governing coalition under Mayor Kai Wegner has emphasized enforcement and infrastructure responses. The Greens, part of the prior state government and now in opposition, have seen limited recovery despite national environmental debates. Trader consensus on the CDU receiving more votes aligns with these sustained polling differentials and the absence of major campaign shifts that would narrow the gap before election day.
