Traders price the “No” outcome at 86.5% because perfect games remain exceptionally rare even in an expanded 162-game schedule. Only 24 have occurred in MLB history, with the most recent in 2023, and multiple multi-year droughts have occurred amid modern usage patterns that limit starters’ innings and favor bullpen specialization. Entering August 2026, the 2026 season has produced complete games but no perfect outings, consistent with league-wide trends of elevated contact rates and defensive shifts that increase the odds any single nine-inning effort is spoiled. While elite starters can post low hit and walk totals in stretches, sustaining 27 consecutive outs without a baserunner against professional lineups remains a low-probability event over the remaining schedule.

A “Perfect Game” is achieved when a pitcher throws a complete game without allowing a baserunner.
If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after November 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined if a Perfect Game occurred within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “No”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the MLB; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
