Joe Pyfer’s emphatic second-round TKO of Israel Adesanya in March elevated the middleweight contender into title-picture discussions, yet his planned August bout against Caio Borralho at UFC 330 fell through due to Borralho’s rib injury. With no official UFC matchup announced as of mid-September, traders see a crowded field of plausible next opponents. Dricus du Plessis, Nassourdine Imavov, and Anthony Hernandez each bring recent contender-level activity and ranking proximity, while Borralho retains interest from the near-miss and Brendan Allen sits as a lower-risk stylistic fit. The tight spread among the top four reflects the division’s depth and the UFC’s tendency to pair rising prospects with established names for high-stakes cards.
