Gabriela Ce and Federica Urgesi meet in the round of 16 at the ITF W75 Caserta on outdoor clay, where both Brazilians and Italians have shown mixed recent form on the surface. The 33-year-old Ce holds a narrow 1-0 head-to-head edge from their 2025 Rome encounter and brings greater career experience at WTA 351, though her 2026 results remain inconsistent. The 21-year-old Urgesi, ranked 356, enters with strong momentum after advancing through earlier rounds in Caserta and displaying improved consistency on clay this spring. Home-country support and youth could factor for Urgesi, while Ce’s veteran shot-making and return game remain key advantages in a matchup likely to hinge on baseline rallies and error management.
