Kateryna Diatlova faces Nicole Giannini in the round of 16 at the ITF W15 Kayseri 3 on hard courts, a low-level professional event featuring players outside the WTA top rankings. Diatlova brings recent hard-court experience from the preceding Kayseri 2 tournament, where she advanced before a three-set loss, alongside earlier wins in Egypt. Giannini, coming off qualifier successes in the same series, has shown inconsistency with several first-round exits this spring. Their prior meeting on clay in 2024 ended in a straight-sets victory for Diatlova. Both competitors manage packed ITF schedules with limited rest between events, making recent form, surface adaptation, and physical freshness key variables in this encounter.
