Jana Kovackova, the 15-year-old Czech junior standout ranked inside the ITF junior top five, faces 24-year-old French pro Amandine Monnot, currently positioned around WTA No. 322, in the first round of the W75 Ceska Lipa event on outdoor clay. Kovackova brings strong recent junior results and early senior ITF experience, while Monnot draws on greater professional match volume, including multiple clay-court wins this season at comparable levels. The surface favors baseline rallies and consistency, areas where both have shown competence, though Monnot’s additional years on the tour and higher ranking reflect a more established transition to senior competition. No prior head-to-head exists, and the match represents an opportunity for the teenager to test herself against a higher-ranked opponent early in the draw.
