Aryna Sabalenka holds the edge in the 2026 US Open women’s final as the two-time defending champion chasing a historic three-peat on hard courts where she remains unbeaten since 2023, having dropped just one set en route to a commanding semifinal win over Jessica Pegula. Elena Rybakina, who clinched the world No. 1 ranking by reaching the final after rallying past Coco Gauff from a set down, brings strong recent form including her Australian Open title earlier in the year and a 10-7 head-to-head deficit that Sabalenka has extended on hard courts at Indian Wells and Miami. Rybakina’s first US Open final appearance follows a more demanding path and an ankle concern earlier in the summer, while trader consensus reflects Sabalenka’s venue dominance and sharper recent performances in New York.
