Amazon shares closed at $258.51 on September 4, 2026, following a modest pullback amid ongoing capex concerns and regulatory scrutiny. Strong Q2 results highlighted AWS revenue growth accelerating to 36.7% year-over-year, supporting operating margins, yet elevated 2026 capital expenditure guidance near $220 billion continues to weigh on near-term free cash flow expectations. Analyst consensus remains a strong buy with average 12-month targets around $325–330, reflecting AI infrastructure investments and cloud demand. With the next earnings release not until late October, short-term price action through September 8 will likely hinge on broader equity market sentiment, Treasury yields, and any incremental regulatory or macroeconomic data releases rather than company-specific catalysts.

If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No".
Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding.
If Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50.
For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange.
If the specified day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price.
