Trader consensus on Polymarket assigns a 63.5% implied probability to "No" for SpaceX achieving fully reusable Starship before 2027, driven by recent delays in the test program and the nascent stage of Starship V3 development. Elon Musk announced on April 16 that V3 booster and ship are nearing their first flight test in weeks, following a Super Heavy V3 33-engine static fire on April 11 and a Flight 12 delay to early May amid technical hurdles. While prior flights like the tenth test in September 2025 advanced reusability steps such as booster recovery attempts, no full stack reusability—tower catches for both Super Heavy booster and upper stage, plus rapid reflight—has been demonstrated. Historical timeline slips temper optimism despite Musk's 2026 targets, with key catalysts including May's V3 debut and potential catch trials amid FAA regulatory reviews.
