Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick's March 2026 confirmation that GTA VI's standard edition will launch at a $70–$80 price point—aligning with AAA premium norms like GTA V—has solidified trader consensus against a $100+ MSRP, driving the 90% implied probability on "No." Persistent rumors of higher pricing fueled by massive development costs and decade-long hype have been dismissed by this official guidance, reflecting industry reluctance to alienate mass-market buyers amid stagnant base pricing trends. Historical precedents from Rockstar's catalog reinforce expectations of accessible entry while reserving deluxe editions for upsells. Traders eye pre-order listings and the November 2026 release for final verification, though late pivots remain a slim upset risk.
