Dakotah Bobo, the 23-year-old American ranked 682 in the ATP with a career high near 674, faces 18-year-old Paraguayan Alvaro Ariel Frutos Alonso in the opening round of the M15 Asuncion 2 on outdoor clay. Frutos, an ITF-ranked player near 80 with strong regional results, gains clear home-soil and crowd advantages in Asuncion. Bobo enters with greater experience from recent higher-level ITF events, including clay-court success in the United States, though both players lack extensive head-to-head history at this level. The surface favors baseline consistency and endurance, while Frutos’s local familiarity and recent matches in Paraguay could offset Bobo’s ranking edge in what projects as a competitive early-round encounter.
