Seongwoo Cho holds a substantial ranking advantage at approximately 1150 compared to Hong-Lin Fu near 2168, positioning the South Korean as the stronger player on the ITF M25 Taipei hard-court draw. Cho has shown consistent recent activity in regional ITF events, including qualifier wins in the M15 Tianjin series and solid results through early rounds, while Fu’s match history reflects fewer competitive outings at this level. Hard-court conditions favor both players’ styles, but Cho’s greater match volume and experience in similar futures events create a clear edge. Local support for the Taiwanese Fu could influence momentum in a tightly contested opener, though head-to-head data remains limited. No major injury reports or withdrawals have surfaced ahead of their scheduled meeting.
