Matthew Dellavedova enters this M25 Taipei 2 hard-court quarterfinal with a clear edge, holding the No. 299 ranking and an 81-26 record in 2026 compared to Kasidit Samrej’s No. 482 standing and roughly 30-20 mark. Dellavedova has won eight of his last 10 matches overall and posted strong results on hard courts in the Taipei series, including straight-set victories over Tai Sach and Keisuke Saitoh. Samrej, a Thai player with solid hard-court experience, has advanced with wins over Yuki Mochizuki and others in the event but carries a lower career-high ranking and mixed recent challenger results. Traders price Dellavedova heavily favored based on ranking differential, recent form, and ITF-level consistency, though Samrej’s local familiarity offers realistic upset potential in best-of-three sets.
