Ivan Dreycopp and Julian Cundom, both Argentine right-handers, meet on clay at the M15 Mar del Plata, where Dreycopp recently advanced through qualifying with straight-set wins over local players. Cundom, ranked slightly higher in recent ATP listings around the low 1000s, brings more ITF experience on South American clay circuits, including a mixed 2026 record with wins over comparable opponents in M15 events in Asunción and Maringá. Their only prior meeting, a December 2025 UTR clay match, went to Dreycopp in three sets. Key variables include recent match volume on the surface, home-country familiarity at the Náutico venue, and typical M15 volatility where serve consistency and break-point conversion often decide tight encounters.
