Yu Hsiou Hsu enters the M25 Taipei semifinal as the higher-ranked player (ATP 245) with a stronger career record and 15 titles compared to Masamichi Imamura (ATP 422). Hsu holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge on hard courts after defeating Imamura in the 2024 M15 Kashiwa final. In the current event, Hsu has advanced with straight-sets victories, leveraging home-court familiarity on hard. Imamura has posted solid recent results, including a three-set quarterfinal win, and maintains competitive hard-court form, though his lower ranking and lack of titles limit his edge. The matchup features similar serve-return profiles, with Hsu showing slight advantages in key metrics and deciding sets historically.
