Both Italian players compete in the ITF M25 Lesa qualifying draw on outdoor clay, with Gilberto Ravasio entering as the clear favorite due to his superior ATP ranking near 1,500 and greater match experience at this level. Filippo Valdetara sits much lower in the ITF standings around 2,200 and carries a modest 25% win rate in recent events. Ravasio has shown more consistent participation in M25 tournaments this summer, while Valdetara's limited results include straight-set losses in prior qualifying attempts. No reported injuries or withdrawals affect either player ahead of the August 17 match. Surface familiarity and ranking gap position Ravasio to control rallies from the baseline, though Valdetara retains upset potential in a low-stakes qualifying encounter.
