Kenny De Schepper, the 39-year-old French veteran ranked near ATP 950, brings extensive clay-court experience and a strong recent ITF record to this M15 Cap d'Agde matchup, including a first-round win over Pizzigoni. The 17-year-old Couturier, ranked around 1890 with a wild-card entry and limited professional wins, has shown inconsistent results across recent M15 and M25 events on clay and hard. De Schepper's serve, baseline consistency, and history on European clay surfaces create a significant edge against the younger player's developing game, though Couturier's home-soil familiarity offers limited upset potential in what remains a lopsided matchup.
