Jelle Sels holds a clear edge in the M25 Koksijde first-round matchup due to his substantially higher ranking near the top 500 and greater professional experience, including a career-high ATP singles mark of 127. The 30-year-old Dutch player has competed regularly in similar ITF events this season, maintaining consistent form on European circuits. In contrast, 23-year-old Belgian Lars Goran Verwerft sits outside the top 1400 with limited recent results at this level. No prior head-to-head exists, and surface conditions at the Belgian venue along with potential fatigue from travel or schedule could influence play, though Sels' established baseline game and match toughness position him as the stronger consensus choice among traders.
