Filip Jeff Planinsek holds a substantial ranking edge over Iiro Vasa entering their first-round clash on the outdoor clay courts at the M25 Fano. The Slovenian, currently around No. 588, has posted recent wins on the ITF circuit, including a three-set victory in July, while the Finnish right-hander sits near No. 995 with multiple early exits in lower-level events this summer. Clay's slower pace and longer rallies typically reward Planinsek's experience and consistency at this level, though Vasa's right-handed baseline game could create opportunities if he finds early rhythm. No recent head-to-head data exists, leaving recent form and clay adaptation as the dominant factors traders weigh.
